Shrink loss begins almost immediately in products displayed in cases with less than 90% relative humidity. Although coil sizing and low velocity fans help to reduce the drying associated with refrigeration, they do not boost relative humidity to the needed 90-95%. Additionally, most cases have limited room under the case for installation, which is why Puremist customers requested development of this product.
